In my quest to adopt a more natural wellness and lifestyle, I have put together three of my favourite winter essential oil blends inspired by other recipes from the Herbs & Essential Oil bundle.
Winter Calm
Lavender, 3 drops.
Ylang Ylang, 2 drops.
Rose, 2 drops.
Scent: Flowery
Effect: Calming
Notes*: Lavender is a top note, which means that this burns faster. Ylang Ylang and Rose are middle notes that take a bit longer to burn.
Christmass Spirit
Orange Blossom oil, 3 drops.
Cinnamon, 2 drops.
Ylang Ylang. 2 drops.
Scent: Spicy and Flowery
Effect: Anti-anxiety & sexually stimulating
Notes: Top Notes with Orange blossom and mid notes Cinnamon and Ylang Ylang.
Seasonal Congestion
Peppermint, 3 drops.
Eucalyptus, 2 drops.
Tea tree, 2 drops.
Lemon, 2 drops.
Scent: Citrus & Herbal
Effect: Energizing and detoxifying
Notes: Top Notes: peppermint, eucalyptus, and lemon. Mid notes: tea tree.
*essential oils that are quickest to evaporate (usually within 1-2 hours) are called “top notes”. Next are the oils that evaporate within 2-4 hours, those are considered “middle notes”. The “base notes” are the oils that evaporate the slowest.
