Why Clean with Essential Oils?

Essential oils are derived from nature and are safe to use in the home – to be more precise, the are extracted from the leaves, stems, flowers, seeds of a plant. When used appropriately, they can be used safely in the home around the whole family.

If you’ve read my previous posts you know already the dangers associated with the numerous chemicals and toxic compounds found in conventional mass-produced cleaners – I explain more about eliminating toxins in the home here.

Essential Oils contain effective and potent cleansing properties

Contrary to what many people think, despite essential oils extracted from natural plants, they still contain potent and powerful cleansing properties that make them useful not only for aromatherapy but also for cleaning the house. Essential oils are extremely potent in these natural cleansing compounds, meaning a few drops can go a long way and provide some serious cleaning power (money saver!)

Other cleansing products may require a large amount to get the job done, but it is possible to cleanse an entire area with just a few drops of essential oil.

Essential Oils are Versatile

Another amazing reason why I use essential oils for cleaning is that same essential oil can be used for other benefits. For example, I use Melaleuca essential oil in my multi-purpose cleaner but also to make facial products. I add Wild Orange to my DIY Floor Cleaner Solution and also diffuse for its aromatherapy benefits.

Even within the household cleaning department; a single essential oil can cover the needs from the kitchen to the bathroom, purifying the air, cleaning up sticky messes, laundry and more. Typically, you will need a whole cabinet to cover these cleaning tasks.

The versatility of essential oils allows you to make your own DIY natural cleaning products with essential oils, tailor-made according to your personal preferences or needs.

Basically, a single bottle of essential oil can go a long way and serve you well, holistically.

When it comes to safety, google ins't enough!
